Michael joined Summit Financial in 2004. As VP, Client Service & Retirement Plan Coordinator, Michael provides management support for the firm’s private wealth clients. Over his 20 years in the industry, he has gained extensive investment knowledge on a wide range of products. Sitting as a member of the Investment Committee, Michael is an integral part of meeting initiatives. This includes developing tactical/strategic investment strategies, guidance on proper Asset Allocation, and overall investment strategies.
On the Insurance & Retirement front, Michael manages the plan development/implementation of 401(k), 403(b), SEP, and SIMPLE retirement portfolios. In this role, he assists the advisors with business and administrative requirements. Additionally, he aids in delivering life, disability, athlete protection, and long-term care insurance solutions to clients. His credentialing includes the AIF® – Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation.
A lifetime resident of the Baltimore area, Michael attended Calvert Hall and then Stevenson University where he earned a B.S. in Business Systems as well as a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Towson University. He lives with his wife, Lauren, and daughters Charlotte and Madelyn, in Fallston, MD.
