At Summit, we are proud of our team members who have actively participated in community outreach and initiatives that help others in need.

Every year, Summit contributes financially, and in service hours, to local arts, cultural, education and healthcare organizations. Each member of our team has identified causes close to their heart and our firm backs that passion through resources and participation.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

-Margaret Mead

Our commitment to these organizations is at the heart of the values that sustain our strong company culture.

The Arc Baltimore programs and services allow individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community, to work in meaningful jobs, enjoy friendships and activity in the community, and to support their families in the challenges they face. ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer, the leading national nonprofit with the mission to end prostate cancer. ZERO advances research, improves the lives of men and families, and offers comprehensive support for prostate cancer patients. Each year, Summit participated in Run/Walk Baltimore. Marissa Waskiewicz, with the support of Summit Insurance and 14 family members and friends, participated in memory of her father, J. Gary Bowers. The team ran and walked, including the Kids’ Superhero Dash for Dad, raising nearly $3,000 to research for new treatments, free prostate cancer testing, and education for men and families about prostate cancer.
